Housewarming
You've got the keys. Your own flat, for the first time.
For now it's bare concrete, an echo, and the mess the builders left behind. Clear it out, lay the parquet, hang the wallpaper — and then begin the slow work of making a home. Carry in a bed, a rug for the wall, an old tube TV with rabbit-ear antennas. You can't screw a bulb into the sky, so the light in this place you bring in yourself, one warm lamp at a time.
Outside the window it's always November: panel blocks, power lines, a lonely streetlamp, faint snow. Inside, warmth gathers thing by thing.
Housewarming is a short, cozy game about settling in — told as a quiet doomer novella. Each task is a small chapter: a neighbour's aquarium, someone's antenna already taped to your window, a cat who moves in without a lease. Melancholy for a mood, a little nostalgia, a little humour, one small chill that always warms back into light.
Best played in the evening, with the sound on.
